Setting off at 11am I noticed I would have a headwind today, just what I didn’t need! So I thought I would be conserve fuel and travel at tick over, roughly 2mph. Being the school Summer holidays you would expect it to be busy but nope, didn’t see a single boater in the 1st hour. Arriving through Goring lock I took the opportunity of filling my water tank then set off to find a mooring spot. I then spotted what I had been looking for, a Kingfisher perched in a tree, quickly grabbed the camera and managed 3 shots before he flew off. Thankfully they were ok but not the best. I normally see them flying low to the water at speed. Blink and you will miss it! All moored up ready to do another 10miles tomorrow!
