Lying in bed and seeing a boat pass heading north, I thought, yes, the locks are now in my favor, so quickly get sorted and get moving. Only 4 miles left till I reach Oxford city! Batteries could do with a charge along with the Jackery power bank, so I might as well head off. It’s peaceful at Kidlington, so I will return one day. As it is, I need to get to the Kennett & Avon to visit family.

The journey was full of locks and lift bridges, which being single crewed is a pain in the butt! But I did it. Mid-afternoon, the sun decided to stay out and boy did it get hot and sweaty. At 3pm, I decided to try and find a mooring spot for the night, only to find more locks and lift bridges. When I came across what seemed to be a gorgeous mooring, it was in a conservation area or a residential area for boaters. I eventually found a spot around the corner from Jerihco. Very busy, nice to see canals & towpaths being used. It gives CRT the incentive to keep it well-maintained! Anyway, enjoy rambling crap from me. Time to finish a pint and grab some food!!
